Favorite powders with It Cosmetics, Purely Cosmetics, MAC Cosmetics When pulling out powders for the latest edition of Top Ten Tuesday I found that everything I use is either from Purely Cosmetics or IT Cosmetics. I hadn’t thought about it before but all the other powders I have from Laura Mercier, Kevyn Aucoin, Scott Barnes, MAC Cosmetics, and more just sit waiting to be chosen. But when you find things you love, that’s what you use. These don’t add up to 10 but they are what gets used constantly and that’s more important than a number. PURELY COSMETICS DIAMOND PERFECT FINISH POWDER is my favorite finishing powder by far. I use this constantly. I finish nothing ever as far as cosmetics go but my current Diamond Powder is ready to say bye-bye but I will surely BUY BUY it again.I’ve been using this for years and plan on always using it. The packaging is ideal with a top that opens to get out the amount you desire plus you can close it up to prevent spilling. It costs $20 and will last you for years. No shimmer involved, just a soft diamond finish. * IT COSMETICS BYE BYE PORES SILK HD ANTI-AGING MICRO POWDER – I’m a huge IT Cosmetics fan obviously and this is my number 1 powder that they sell (and they have a lot of great powders). After I discovered IT Cosmetics this is the second product I bought from them (after Bye Bye Undereye) and I’ve rebought it several times. It keeps me shine free and gives me a more youthful appearance. It’s a Win-Win powder. PURELY COSMETICS SKIN SMOOTHING FOUNDATION and PURE MINERALS FOUNDATION – There are two formulas that are made by Purely Cosmetics. Both are wonderful and I recommend buying sample sizes of each. That way you can test the two products and check for your color.  Skin Smoothing Foundation is the newer of the two. It’s very hydrating because of the silk powder added to it. Plus it helps absorb oil, blur fine lines, nourish your skin (with jojoba) and reduce the look of your pores. It’s great for dry to slightly skin but not very oily skin. Pure Minerals Foundation is their original formula. It’s free of all chemicals and talc as is Skin Smoothing Foundation.  Pure Minerals Foundation is good for all skin types and especially so if you have acne or oily skin since nothing will clog your pores. And the nice thing is that you can add Silk Powder to it if you want. I have several shades in sample sizes which are perfect for finding that perfect match. * MAC BLOT POWDER used to always be in my Back2MAC pile since I used it exclusively for probably a dozen years. I always have one in my stash even though I don’t use it as often as I used to since discovering PC and IT. It’s the one MAC product I whole heartedly recommend when asked. IT COSMETICS HELLO LIGHT RADIANCE POWDER – A pressed powder that’s all sort of goodness. If you want that extra radiance to your complexion, this is the answer. As with all IT powders it’s finally milled and never looks powdery. It gives just a hint of glow but isn’t overpowering at all. I think this has been changed to the Illuminating Powder though. * IT COSMETICS CELEBRATION FOUNDATION ILLUMINATION is actually one of two powder foundations from IT.  It’s hydrating, anti-aging, and gives just a subtle radiance. I prefer this to the original Celebration Foundation since it looks and feels more moisturizing. IT COSMETICS CELEBRATION FOUNDATION is a more matte foundation with great coverage. It’s loaded with all the anti-aging ingredients that IT is known for. I wear this in Fair which is for the lightest skintones; it’s also available in Light, Medium, Rich and Tan. Mine is from a TSV (don’t miss their QVC specials!). * IT FOUNDATIONS CC+ AIRBRUSH FOUNDATION is the newest powder foundation from IT. This too was part of a QVC TSV. It needs to be sold separately since it’s fabulous when used with their CC+ Cream. What are your favorite powders?
